    FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

    Q:: How do I sign up to become an Augusta Vin Wine Club Member?

    A: It will only take a few minutes to become one of our valued wine club  members. Our team can sign you up during a visit to our clubhouse or tasting room, or you can sign up by clicking “join now” above.

    Q: How are payments handled?

    A: Credit cards will be stored on file in each member profile and charged in advance of each shipment. Payments are non-refundable.

    Q: What happens if I don’t pick up my allocation?

    A: Allocations not picked up or shipped within 60 days of processing will be forfeited without a refund. Members will receive reminders to arrange for pickup or shipping.

    Q: What is the process for reporting damaged wine?

    A: Email wineclub@augustavin.com with photos of the damage. Replacements or refunds will be processed at the manager’s discretion.

    Q: What should I know about the initial shipment?

    A: All initial shipments will be charged a flat shipping rate of $20. Reshipments due to unclaimed or returned packages will be charged at the current rates provided by our distributor.

    Q: How can I cancel my membership?

    A: Requested wine club cancellations and account changes MUST be made 30 days prior to a wine club allocation release (1st day of February, May, August, and November). Please email WineClub@AugustaVin.com with your cancellation or account change request, a wine club team member will assist you with your options. Failure to fulfill the four-allocation commitment may result in an early cancellation fee. Once membership is canceled, any allocations that have not been picked up or shipped will require arrangements within 30 days; otherwise, the wine will be forfeited. Given the limited quantities of wine set aside especially for our Augusta Vin members, we are unable to give refunds after wine club orders are processed.

    WINE CLUB TERMS AND CONDITIONS
    •  Must be over 21 years old to be an Augusta Vin Wine Club Member. By signing up for wine club membership you are confirming you are over 21 and agree to a 4-allocations commitment.

    • An adult (over 21 years old) signature is required at delivery. Please designate an address for shipping where someone over 21 will be present to sign during normal business hours (many people list their business address). No PO Boxes allowed.

    • Due to State Laws, we may only be able to ship to ABC Stores in your location.

    • We will charge your credit card automatically for the discounted cost of wine plus shipping charges (if applicable).

    • Members will receive an email to notify them of any unclaimed allocations. After 60 days, unclaimed allocations will be forfeited without a refund.

    • Starting May 1, 2025, Failure to fulfill the four-allocation commitment may result in an early cancellation fee.

    Returns and Cancellations

    Q: What is the policy for returns and cancellations? A: A: Damaged wine will be considered for replacement or refund upon proof of damage. Members must email photos of the damage, such as cork damage or wine leakage, to wineclub@augustavin.com. The decision for replacement or refund is at the discretion of the manager. We ask the customer to return the original bottle for replacement. By law, we cannot accept returns of alcoholic beverages unless the product is corked or flawed. We are also unable to accept the return of wine that was damaged due to adverse weather conditions during shipment or wine that is ordered in error.

    Wine Club Cancellations

    Pick-Up by Proxy

    Q: Can someone else pick up my wine allocations? A: Yes, a member can authorize another person to pick up their wines. To do so, please send an email to wineclub@augustavin.com naming the person or persons you permit to collect your wines. We prefer to receive this notification Monday through Friday so we can note your account ahead of time. Please be aware that we will not release wines without documented authorization to ensure a smooth experience and avoid any misunderstandings in the tasting room.

    SHIPPING AND DELIVERY

    Shipping Information

    Q: What should I know about shipping?

    • You will be charged a $20 flat rate shipping fee for wine club allocations. If re-shipping is necessary because no one was available to sign, standard shipping rates will apply.

    • Allocations will be available on the first Sunday after your allocation has been processed. We request pick-up occur Sunday – Friday. Unauthorized pick-ups are not allowed. If you need to authorize someone other than the Wine Club Member listed on the account to pick up your allocation, please email us at WineClub@AugustaVin.com.

    • Allocations prior to November 2024 that have not been picked up or shipped by January 13, 2025, will be considered forfeited. No additional reminders will be sent.

    • Members $20 Flat Fee Shipping Policy

      Our members flat fee shipping policy applies to wine club allocation shipments only and is structured per shipping case (12 bottles):

      • 3–12 bottles: $20 flat fee + applicable sales tax (one shipping case)

      • 13–24 bottles: $40 flat fee + applicable sales tax (two shipping cases)

      • 25–36 bottles: $60 flat fee + applicable sales tax (three shipping cases)

      • 37–48 bottles: $80 flat fee + applicable sales tax (four shipping cases)

      • 49+ bottles: Shipping will be quoted at the time of order by our Wine Club Team

    Q: How can I ensure my wines are delivered successfully?

    • UPS Access Point™: A convenient way to receive your wine club shipments. Send to any one of the many UPS Access Point™ locations and pick up at your convenience. UPS Access Point™ will normally hold your wine club allocation for up to five days. You will need your driver’s license upon picking up your wine club allocation as proof that the package belongs to you. Always check the policy of the UPS
      access point you are thinking of utilizing.

    • Intercept Your Package: If your wine club allocation has already shipped, you will need to click here to intercept your package delivery.

    • Use Your Work Address: For receiving wine club shipments, ensure there will be an adult 21+ to sign for your package.

    • Check Your Spam Filter: Ensure you receive your tracking number and up-to-date information on your shipment. By unsubscribing from our emails, you may miss important updates and information related
      to your membership.

    • Shipping Timeline: Allocations will ship out no later than the 15th of the allocation month. You will receive an email confirmation and tracking number as soon as your wines ship.

    • Physical Address Requirement: We will not force-ship allocations without a verified physical address. Please ensure your address on file is up to date to avoid delays or forfeited shipments.

    • What happens when my package is returned to the third-party shipper as undeliverable? A: If your wine shipment is returned as undeliverable, our Wine Club team will notify you via email and invite you to either reschedule the delivery or arrange a pickup at our winery. A reshipment fee of $32 plus applicable tax will be charged to the credit card we have on file if you choose to reship. If we don’t receive a response within 21 days, we’ll follow up by phone. Please note: returned wines will only be held in inventory for 60 days from the original allocation date-after that, they’ll be considered forfeited. 

    Q: What is your Bottle Return & Climate Shipping Policy?

    • At Augusta Vin, we take great care to ensure our wines are packaged and shipped in proper condition. Wine is a natural, agricultural product and is inherently sensitive to temperature fluctuations and shipping conditions. Once an order leaves our facility, Augusta Vin cannot control handling, storage, or environmental exposure during transit.

      We utilize a third-party fulfillment partner who primarily ships via UPS. All wines remain in cold storage at their facility until packages are transferred to the carrier. This policy outlines the terms governing shipping-related issues, bottle returns, and quality claims.

      • Climate & Weather-Related Shipping
        Wine is highly susceptible to damage from extreme temperatures. While Augusta Vin may monitor weather conditions and adjust shipping schedules when feasible, we do not guarantee temperature stability once a shipment has left our premises.

        • Hot Weather Exposure: Elevated temperatures may cause wine expansion, cork movement, seepage, leakage, or accelerated aging.

        • Cold Weather Exposure: Freezing or near-freezing temperatures may result in wine expansion, pushed corks, leakage, haze, or temporary cloudiness.
          During periods of high temperatures, Augusta Vin utilizes cold packs to support temperature-controlled shipping and may adjust shipping dates when necessary. Customers are responsible for providing a shipping address where packages can be received promptly upon delivery. Customers may also request a delayed shipment or a weather hold during periods of extreme heat or cold.
          Damage resulting from temperature exposure during transit is not eligible for replacement, refund, or credit.

      • Tartrate Crystals (Wine Diamonds)
        Tartrate crystals are a naturally occurring, harmless byproduct of winemaking and may appear as sediment or crystalline formations, particularly after cold exposure during shipping. Tartrates do not affect wine quality, safety, or flavor and are not considered a defect. Bottles containing tartrate crystals are not eligible for return, replacement, or credit.

      • Cork Seepage & Minor Leakage
        Temperature, altitude, and pressure changes during transit may result in minor cork seepage. Light staining on the capsule or minimal seepage is considered normal. Fill levels within industry-accepted standards are deemed acceptable.
        Returns or replacements will not be issued for minor seepage unless Augusta Vin determines, at its sole discretion, that the wine is materially flawed.

      • Damaged, Flawed, or Compromised Wine
        Claims may be considered only for substantial leakage, cork failure not attributable to temperature exposure, oxidation or spoilage unrelated to shipping conditions, or breakage incurred during shipment.
        Customers must notify Augusta Vin within forty-eight (48) hours of delivery and provide the order number, clear photographs of the bottle(s), cork if applicable, original shipping materials, and a written description of the issue to wineclub@augustavin.com. Failure to report within this period constitutes acceptance of the shipment.

      • Final Sale & Premium Wine Disclaimer
        All wine purchases from Augusta Vin are final sale. Augusta Vin makes no guarantees regarding wine condition following exposure to extreme temperatures during transit. Any replacement, credit, or accommodation is provided solely at the discretion of Augusta Vin.
