Our 2017 Malbec starts with complex aromas of black plum, cloves and blackberry followed by rich flavors of roasted black currant, dried plum, dark cherry. The finale, a smooth seamless sensation of delicate brioche and oak inspired vanilla.

Pairings: Malbec has softer tannins compared to some of its red counterparts, like Cabernet Sauvignon, which means Malbec goes well with lean cuts of meats like flank, sirloin and skirt steak, yet this grape pairs especially well with bacon inspired dishes.

Tannat grapes originate from Madiran, a tiny village in West France, but making big waves in the wine world today. This grape varietal is gaining recognition especially when produced in Texas. Our Tannat, a spice-driven, bold varietal offers aromas of chocolate, roasted coffee and sweet tobacco rounded out by bold blackberry, notes of cardamom, and subtle hints of anise and plum on the palette.

The Spanish-derived grape is known to be fruit forward with flavors of intense red cherry, plum, pie spice and vanilla with vibrant aromas of blackberries, red plum, tobacco, leather, and savory crushed herbs.

Our Augusta Vin “Giovanna Rosso”, special proprietary Tuscan red blend using three Italian grape varieties grown 100% in Texas.

The name “Giovanna” translated “God is gracious” represents God’s gift of providing a perfect red grape blend of Sangiovese, Aglianico and Montepuliciano.

The Nectar Series from Augusta Vin offers forward fruit character in a semi-dry personality. Blended with Marsanne, Roussanne and Viognier yet fermented on a short cycle to retain more fresh fruit character with less alcohol. This white blend offers jasmine floral aromas that marry with green apple, pear and key lime notes creating a multilayered dance on the palate.
